flexing a duty already
our office has been flexing since 2nd of jan. we have a few of on the sick and maternity leave and new starters leaving, im not happy that staff are coming in early on overtime to do ips so we get out earlier to enable us to do flex. i always thought if we flex walks then all overtime stops, cant get help of union rep he is also coming in early to do ips on overtime. is there a download on flexing or absorbtion that i can refer to. any help pls. ps our unit is on park n loop.

think yourself lucky the nobs at our place start early for free then wonder why we get told to lapse more

forgot to mention the flyers and there the ones who dont take there meal realifs throw all the d/2d sat afternoon.and moan there being flexed

same as our office we started last week was this agreed by our wonderful cwu to collapse 10 months a year now as i though it was for 12 weeks in the summer , early starters , no meal break and then stand there moaning about doing it on a mon, tues , and a sat , 2 in each section a day a 4 sections . its a joke.

Been lapsing since jan 3rd. One day someone came in to work their day off, then got sent home ("not enough work"). Half an hour later management was going round asking people to do o/t, on top of that the ips was cleared half an hour late, we still had to lapse! That was a farce of a day.

There is no agreement that says that muppets can't come in on docket to do extra IPS so you can lapse/absorb/flex,or whatever it gets called.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We have not got P&L yet, but with a local agreement we have got the £200 final transformation payment early if we agree to continue lapsing the same walks we have been lapsing for over 2yrs now.
We are promised the other £600 when the revision kicks in
I would have thought we should have had an office vote on this???
Union guy says this is a good deal but some of us are not so sure.

well, if they are putting on o/t to advance the IPS, they are telling you, there is too much work there for you to sort, so you should not be lapsing.

Imagine an office has sufficient manhours to cover the sorting and prep but is 2 walks down due to sickness.
If you bring 4 p/t staff in 2 hours early to advance the IPS - you now have 8 surplus hours (see even with IWT their Capacity Plan never went away) which you use to lapse the 2 uncovered duties.
This happens because people don't want delivery o/t, either due to fatigue or time constraints.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

take it easy mr hare have a cadburys caramel
take your breaks ,start at right time ,return to office,if you push them they even get your road prepprd for you,
and when you return get a coffee sit down and laugh sraight at them
