Have asked for a weeks unpaid leave gave the manger 4 months notice. was told on Monday we did not have the staff and he would not allow me to have the week off.
I would off taken it as annual leave but that was all gone. any help please .

Did you make a written request 4 months ago?
Do you have a paper trail?
Have you chased this up in the past 4 months?
When they told you - no, you should have asked for a grievance form.
It might have encouraged him to have a rethink.
What has your rep said and done?
