I am off sick with work related stress due to being suspended from delivery week before christmas cannot go into more detail BUT?
I went sick on the tuesday in the last full week before xmas and got a certificate from the doctor from that day for 2 weeks
my second week which included xmas day and boxing day was my waddingtons week, now as my certificate covered this what am I entitled to days back .
Also I have another 2 weeks off which includes New year day I presume I get this back?
You should get xmas day and boxing day back as well as new years, as to whether you entitled to get them back it's a bit of a grey area due to the legal minimum of annual leave for us being made up with some but not all of the bank holidays

you do not get public holidays back
actually you do, see under uk holiday entitlement rights all employees who work a 5 day week are normally entitled to a minimum 28 days annual leave per yer, however new entrants at royal mail only get 4 weeks 3 days holiday (23 days) leave per year the remainder of our statutory entitlement is made up from public holidays, now at royal mail we get 8 days(normally) public holidays a year so 5 of them are part of your legal minimum (hence the grey area as which 5 of the 8)
so you are actually entitled to get public holidays back
I would have been on my 1 in 6 week off (waddington) the week that xmas day/boxing day fell, so I was under the ipression you get that back anyway so the fact that I was sick covered by a medical certificate I would get those back ?

i might be slightly mis reading your question her but:
no you dont get the waddington week back, think about it if you were on a normal rota 5 days out of six and went sick you dont get your day off back so on the waddington week its just all your days off lumped together so your not entitled to them back sorry
yes you do get the xmas day and boxing day holidays back as ive posted above but it may be a grey area
