Cutting off with P&L partner and part time prep

I am doing my first walk with a P&L partner at the end of this week. Now I don't want to go over my hours any day at all. I ment to start at 10 but have been asked to start at 9 but I still want to do only my 5 hours. What is the etiquette about cutting off of your partner doesn't mind going over?

Also it was mentioned that I will struggle to sort and prep my walk in time starting at 9. I thought part timers go there walk prepped for them even if covering a full time round and don't want to go over hours. Can someone tell me what should happen?

If on 5 hours your walk should be prepped. Full stop.

They are trying to get you to work extra hours with the earlier start time.

You are absolutely within your rights to only work your contracted hours

If your partner wishes to work over , then fine . He or she should take you back to the DO within your hours.

Managers come out and pick up our cut offs as it was costing too much in overtime if driver was bringing them back then they went back and finished delivery off.

If person A gives you grief then simply remind him/her that the overtime is yours if you want it - if they dont then they should cut off and shut up. They HAVE to take you back or provide reasonable alternatives. If they want you to take a bus, factor in the extra time it will take and leave more. That's only if you want to use your own money although it should be refunded.

They killed the only enjoyment I had for the job when bikes went. Most of us came into this job to work alone.

The sorting office banter is one thing Fish, that can be good. But working alone outside is a more precise description of what I meant. And just for the record I thankfully no longer live with my mother.

Pretty sure if there was a poll most of us would not vote for park and loop but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I think ft assumed the mother was still in the land of the living - I mean rocking chairs aren't that easy to come by

Part timers at our DO are meant to arrive at a fully prepped frame. 25 hour employees don't take out absorption either. Still pre revision. When P&L is finally introduced I don't know how 25 hour contractees will be utilised.

That is really immaterial, because a real revision is quite different to anything else. The planners use the tools provided and there are a number of hours required for sorting, prepping etc. The object is to maintain as many jobs as possible both FT and PT and it requires a fair bit of juggling to accommodate everyone. Most of our 25 hour PT only work Thurs, Fri, Sat, which means Mon, Tue and Wed aren't available as days off to FT. It went to a vote and was agreed.
