Listen Lads/Laasses.......Be careful out there the Royal Mail are getting desperate for unofficial IA.As you well know Watford has had all sorts of problems on the delivery section, there has been a meeting outside the gate nearly every day for the last 5 weeks.
Yesterday someone said they would'nt be able to complete, had 10 pouches of mail and management said he had'nt thrown enough work in,so they decided to go round and count peoples letters and packets. The other little trick they have pulled this week, now that they have exhausted their efferts with the delivery staff is to divert all the second class mail every night and when the early processing staff came in shove them all on deliveries, today a couple were suspended for saying no,yet another gate meeting but much as it goes against the grain the staff still worked,so as not to cause unofficial IA.
This is what i cant get my head around.....we have had no end of managers and casuals working 7 days a week on deliveries since we made headlines in the local press and the Mayor and local MP's got involved, but the backlog is bigger than ever.
So the point of this posting is dont get suckered in to unofficial IA,that would be playing in to RM's hands and it would be a different ball game on a return to work agreement,i think they are dreading a huge strike turn out,we must be united for these 2x48 strikes, its gonna be difficult for us all as we all have bills to pay, look beyond next week,if we aint united the picture is bleak.

Moved to Ballot.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Reviewing some site stuff this week with the MODS about the Forums as people keep questioning why topics get moved.
This is what i posted a while back and may have to be reviewed,as we are seriously busy now.

We're a busy board which is a good thing, and sometimes peoples threads will either be moved or merged.
It's not a big problem as the 3 main Forums,Ballot,Blue Shirts and the Union ones can have very similar topics in.
The News one should be for News articles though, from the press ect.

Agree totally We are all a bit despondant viewing the actions/inactions over the last few weeks and true - no one can afford it, but people we must look long term - if we don`t fight ther`s no future for sure, Just roll over and die!!pilsbury wrote:These strikes will be hard on the pocket but it has to be done.

I will always take a Short Term pain for a Long Term gain.
Anyway a Short Term gain will lead to devastation of a great public service and a huge Long Term loss.
