If you check the CWU website I think you'll find they advise you to go in on the revised times.

The suggestion being that the hours you do before the new start time would not be paid and likewise the hours before the official finish time.

so please explain ? isnt the ex/action re later starts part of the national dispute, if so whats the point of agreeing to go in at the new times, once you do that your FCUKED.
I cant understand this reasoning, if its part of the dispute, why undermine it. are we to pick and choose what part of the so called way forward we dont want to adheare to.

seems to me that the union agreed to a lot of this s**t according to the letter i got today it shows the final pay deal which was rejected but if you read a lot of the proposals it says that they were agreed with the cwu so wtf am i standing at the gates for is it just about the pensions now because the union seemily agreed to flexible working and the summer time shifts and later starts and the door 2 door making up part of the daily delivery or have i missunderstood this letter

Yes you have misunderstood the letter. If you look at the top it says ROYAL MAIL'S FINAL OFFER [Rejected by the Union].
The CWU didn't agree to those proposals - it was the document which RM wanted the CWU to agree to, but they rejected it.

So the union have agreed to this? Wasn't this just one of many aspects the CWU were against?

it will be unofficial industrial action if youstart at your normal hours i today handed in a letter explaining that when these times come in i will be finnishing on my time as i have commitments outside royal mail so i have it on record that i will do ot whan it suits me not when they want me 2 :lfo :cfo

To be clear,this is a real farce because they'll still be mail to sort at 5.00am,so you can still come in, but you'll now be
working in your own time.
But you cannot finish at 1.00pm!
Don't fall into this trap,because this is exactly what they want.
it all depends what time the final missorts arrive,but you won't have time to complete if you say your finishing at 1.00pm.

these later start times are a load of bollox i and many other posties dont want them in so we go on strike for four days then go in at what time royal mail want us to go wheres the logic in that as some one said in another thread why dont we go on strike for the last hour of our duty we could keep this up for months or at least untill these two clowns who are dragging this industry down faster than the titanic sank have been sacked or pensioned off with a big fat wedge in there arse pockets if they think i will be walking the streets at 1415 on a sat afternoon they can piss off :cfo :lfo

This is what i got from HQ today,i've already posted it in the RM:LATER STARTS ARE IN OUR CONTRACT!!! thread in NEWS.

A letter to branches is going out today to tell people how to deal with it. Effectively, though it will tell them to work the new times cos otherwise they wonâ€™t get paid for the hours they do.

The LTB explains why and deals with the fact that obviously we are till trying to get agreement on it.
