Return to work/Stage

Having just had this awful flu virus, I returned to work after sick leave, and had no "Return to Work" talk or mention of any possible "Stage" warning being discussed or issued.
Now, Two Weeks after my return, I have been requested to attend a possible Stage warning meeting... TWO WEEKS LATER...
Also, as a Late Afternoon/Eve worker, any Union advisers are either on delivery, or gone home before I attend work, and the meeting has been requested at the Very Busiest time in the RM Calendar too. So I don't know when a Union Rep will be available, through no fault of their own, for some time.

Is this Normal Practice, ie, Issuing a meeting date, knowing that Union Rep support with more than likely be unavailable?
And...Also issuing details of this proposed meeting, 2 Weeks after my return?

Appears to be mis or bad management all round...

You have a right to have a rep go in with you. Tell whoever's dealing with it that you won't be attending untill a rep is available.
They will have to reschedule it for another time.

I agree - they will just have to wait until a rep is available. You should have had your return to work on your first day back so they have not followed correct procedure anyway. Has already been said but don't go in without a union rep.

Thanks both, Rep said he can ensure attendance after the mad rush! So, Jan then.
Also, the Return To Work meeting has not been undertaken in 15 days, so procedure HASN'T been adhered to on their part.

Re return to work will not prevent the outcome but it does show a lack of compassion upon royal mails part all things need to be noted and witnessed (CWU REPS) attendance and also his/her advice would be invaluable to you!.
