long weekends

hi need a bit of advice, have been in the job 6 years and still a reserve , until recently was covering a long term sick walk , however the postie returned to work and went back on their walk but because they couldnt cope asked for a different task, so our roles were switched.

the walk is due a long weekend, and because i was covering it prevoiusly , i too am due a long weekend, however my manager has threatened me with a conduct because he insists that i have another day as rest day.

he has been previously advised by union rep, that he should be fair to reserves too in that they get a long weekend every 4 weeks, what are my rights, do i have to do what my manager says , is this classed as bullying, i feel that i should stand my ground, i intend to go in on the rest day that my manager says, not sure whats gonna happen

If you are fully covering the duty, then you inherit the days off with it.

regular postie came back and did their walk for a week and only changed it this week so i was put back onto this walk
