we are told in our office we can have 20 min break before we leave and 20 mins while on delivery my gripe is who the f*** wants to sit in a van freezing cold and soaking wet for a 20 min relief break ? can we return to the office for a hot drink ect ? we are told we can get back to our office and take the last 20 mins at the end of duty but have to stay in the office and cannot go home untill after the 20 min break is this the same everywhere ?

have your full 40 min before delivery do the job properly they cannot make you split up your break
make sure you have proper toilet facilities on delivery should all be built into duty by planners
if not return to office for toilet and wash facilities again they cannot stop you

The only advantage for an office to split the meal relief is to finish 20 minutes "early."
If that's what the office decides to do - fine, but to split the break and still finish "on time" is ludicrous.
Who proposed this nonsense and who agreed it?
