Notice of holiday cancellation

Would someone be able to tell me whether my manager has to give me a minimum period of notice before cancelling a holiday that was booked over a year ago? Really would appreciate an informed answer on this please.

I would not have thought that he had any right to cancel a holiday that has been previously sanctioned, without your consent.

This is the problem, I have been given just 11 days notice of a cancellation, even then I stumbled across it when the duties were put up,the manager didn't even have the decency to speak to me about it and this is why I would like to know what the policy is on this if there is any?

Grievance immediately. If you've got something booked he has no right whatsoever to amend it. Even if you don't I'm sure it's six weeks notice.

The minimum notice period should be the length of the leave booked, ie 1 weeks notice if you have booked 1 weeks leave. (Working Time Regulations 1998 15.4.b)

why has he cancelled your holiday?? i would go to the office and tell him that if thats the case i will take his holiday leave nxt yr ( i bet he has a prime slot)
