Another IHR question

Been off for 6 months with acute anxiety,and over the past month developed depression.I have had 5 months off the previous year but with CBT it helped.This time however CBT did not really work.Had a final assesment a month ago with atos doc,and he said IHR would be the best option,but needed my report off my dr.But she was of for 3 weeks,so he sent the final report to my dom basically saying it could take quite a while for me to recover.But dom wanted my dr report so he re-reffered me back to another atos dr once my report arrived.Hardly asked me any questions,and basically said i will get better with treatment but could take several months.Dom rings today with report and says the doc did not recommend IHR,even though i have to wait 8 weeks for a appointment with the nhs and my medication is being changed all the time.Can my dom make a decision of his own or does he have to follow the dr's report?Its making me feel worse not knowing.

i think the dom will go with an atos report and then determine what outcome for ihr, dont worry about it though, a payment is made very quickly as well, you should be able to get esa after than, as long as you keep on providing at drs certificate.

The Dom rang me back and asked about my medication,which i told him i have tried various types with litle success,to be fair to him he has been pretty good about everything,and he said in the past Ihr might be best for me.What puzzles me is any anti-depressent medications can take weeks to work which the atos dr did not even consider.Can my union rep help in any way or is it just leave it to my Dom.
