Hi. I have been sick during the Xmas pressure period. Just the one day. Does this mean I lose out on the bonus. I know I def get a bonus as I got one last year. Thanks.

If you're talking about the massive £100 then yes you will get it.

If you're talking about Day to day Xmas Scheduled attendance then no obviously if your not there then you wont.

We were briefed this morning by our gormless gaffer that if we go sick any time up to 31st Jan, then we will lose some of our bonus... That can't be right can it? Wouldn't put anything past this lot though!

NOTES:

1. There is no eligibility criteria relating to Sick Absence over the Christmas period. If someone goes sick over Christmas, then why should they lose out? If anyone has their Christmas Supplement cut, cancelled or clawed back due to sickness, then this should be challenged and a Grievance submitted ASAP.

When I was a postie (7.5 years),we were told every year without fail that if we went sick during December then we would lose part of the £100 bonus and if we went sick after it had been paid them RM would look to claw some of it back asap.

I guess nothing has changed.
