Yesterday our manager told us we couldn't book OT as he had been given a bollocking by his boss about the amount dished out.As you would expect we all threatened to cut off and he said we could book it the day after,I don't know whats happened as it's my day off today.Point is,it's christmas and it's bloody busy so why are they suddenly refusing overtime,it's like there purposely trying to antagonise and annoy us all.Bastards.

I fail to see what the problem is. If you go past your finishing time and your manager is not paying the overtime,then cut off . Easy as that .

yeah similar story in our office no park an loop revision yet,,,sooo last saturday was bloody busy,,,,were still 1130am finish,,,,but didnt get out on delivery till 930-10,,,,what happens the dom and his tonto drive round to make sure were on delivery after finishing time,,,,,,come monday morning they were having us in the office querying were we were at 1230....1 ish,,,,,daft g*ts

No problem Zola,I just find it ridiculous.Also I work in a small rural office and have done the same rural for years so I actually like to give my customers a good service.I do find that us 20 year plus men are more concerned about the service we provide,cos funnily enough Zola some of us actually give a s**t about our job.

Message for jaylime. I have been working with Royal Mail for almost thirty years, and I do give a give a good service to my customers. I now work in the callers but I did over twenty five plus on deliveries. I still put my self out the public , but I expect to get paid for it. If you worked in a factory ( i have ) you wouldn't work five minutes over your time without pay ! No pay , no work end of story.

There is a problem with the MCs, on Monday we got 21 yorks of small packets...........the MC credited our office with 8 and then the DSM was asking why there was OT booked.

It's simple really, the MC lies to make the figures look like what they want them to look..........which has sweet FA to do with reality.
