All those packets coming back after notice left, how are you coping with room? last saturday we had 460 callers in 8 hours and 3 people were serving all the time.

We are using the new DORKS to help us (not to be confused with managers).

An extra bod has been allocated to help us and he has experience in the RLE too. We are doing okay at the moment.

Next week should be interesting with the extended opening hours starting and there should be a fair few P739’s stacked up from the Sunday delivery when we get in tomorrow.

Yeah we finally have a use for these things after they have been sitting mostly unused since we got them. Now anyone wanting to get to the locker has to negotiate a sea of the things though.

tolkien wrote:as a walking postie , now being forced to take out packets and parcels which last week we where allowed to put out for the vans ,now deemed to small as a example had to take a full sized football in a pouch last week which with the mail and other parcels meant i needed a new pouch after 25 mins (driver took 45min to arrive ) ,although the template we were shown some months ago seems to have mysteriously dissapeared
so with no more time to do the delivery, Christmas has just been ignored here ,i am taking out far more parcels than i can cope with ,now needing more timed drops which i have to wait for as the driver is more concerned with doing his tracked , i just do not have the time to mess about trying to deliver them so a quick knock on the door and gone , as many cards as possible written out before i leave the depot as i am waiting for the partimers to get ready ,so am bringing loads back and just not caring anymore , which to me is a great shame and not how i like to work but i need to get home

Ahhhhh yeah we came across that last week as well,,,,,,,foot square parcels were knocked back by the d.o.m we havnt had a revision yet so still walking pouch on back,,,,d.o.m`s excuse vans are too busy LOL
