How many delivery posties actually work 39 hours?

Be very interesting to find out, me and my colleague who I share a van with do 39, if we happen to go over we use the flexibility bit and come in late the next day making our time up that way.
Lots of people in my office seem to be working 42/43/46 hours ie coming in ages before their time , one sector with about 25 walks on it regularly all thrown in before official start time.

Come in late next day???? How do you know its going to be quiter the next day???? FFS book extended !!!!!!

Don't want the o/t we weren't allowed to book in summer so why should we book now, 2 benefits for us, 1 we get a lie in and 2 all mech and door to doors are thrown in by time we arrive

One thing is for sure...all things will change in the first year if RM is sold off....
New broom sweeps clean and all that... life will not be the same.....

But its nice to know we have the union behind us...trouble they are always behind....never in front.

FFS An agreement called P&M2007.

Variation of hours – Where necessary, for example when traffic volumes are unexpectedly high or resourcing issues arise, individuals may be asked and may themselves request to vary their duty times by up to 30 minutes on a swings and roundabouts basis. Again, individual circumstances will be taken into account and total weekly contractual hours would not change.

Strictly speaking they are not using it as envisaged, but hey it works for them.

Who covers the work you don't do when you have a little lie in?

Me. I work my 39 hours per week. If I work an 8 hour shift then it is up to my manager to provide me with 8 hours worth of work. Simple.
