Voting on a revision - Dom and votes

Hope someone can help

Our Dom in their infinite wisdom would like to offer the revision out for ballot.

We have two spdo s and I feel it will be tough to get a yes vote from one office yet alone three offices.

Dom wants to have one overall vote rather than 3 individual votes for each office.

It's my opinion that each office should get a vote

Am I correct?

I'm prepared to sit on a disagreement over this if Dom tries anything I don't agree with and surely it's only fair each office gets a vote right?

The DOM has nothing to do with the vote it is the CWU members who vote and the rep who runs the vote, if i was your rep
i would have individual votes for each office and tell the DOM that's what i was doing. The DOM can't influence the vote it is a CWU matter not a Royal Mail 0ne.
Seek advice from area rep it is in the revision check-list phase 4
Phase 4
1 Agree duties with RM
2. Assist planner in populating IWT, Duty Builder and agree final completed Duty Builder including MIRA
3. Make sure TM1 matches Duty Builder
4 Check agreed IWT & Geo-Route hours in Duty Builder are those that you agreed
5. Contact ASR to check all revision H&S issues have been dealt with and actioned
6. Ballot members on Revision
7. DOM and CWU Rep to complete Phase 4 Model Agreement and send or upload to their respective headquarters, which includes agreeing pay date(s) for £200 / £600 to be paid and paperwork submitted. Also includes timing of resign - in line with national agreements.

Can't you support all employee's needless if they are member's they may be in the future, if they don't loose their job.

Then that one member gets their vote and whatever that is you should support, non members are not entitled to vote

I always support all my fellow workers in welfare matters (duty issues, B&H, family/special leave, H&S, Sickness stages etc), whether they are CWU members or not. However, I am continually frustrated by the fact that non-member colleagues are happy to shirt-tail all the rights and privileges won by the union, yet are unwilling to contribute - either financially or in terms of supporting united action - to defend and extend those rights.

I like to have a moan about the CWU as much as anyone else. Yet without it, we'd all be working on minimum wage, with 'job and finish' meaning 'You come to work, do your job, finish it - no matter how long it takes you, and we only pay you your contracted hours'.

I'd urge you to join the union now, if you want any sort of say in the direction of your office, and the future of Royal Mail.

correct nin members have absolutely no vote in any part of the revision process under the bt2010 agreement
