1 in 4 Saturdays off

Someone raised the question about 1in 4 Saturdays and wondered if its really true. We were told in my office it was'nt achievable so I wonder how many offices have achieved it.

It would probably be achievable for our office if they'd replaced the 5 vacancies we've struggled on with but they're citing "revision" as a viable reason not to employ until it's complete when we're lapsing duties on O/T. We're an office that gets on very well on the whole, but there's constant O/T requests.

Our manager has just been suspended post revision. Our new one can not believe we are still on a one in 6 Saturday rota. From Jan next year we are going to a 1 in 4. Way he has done it is that no full timer has a tuesday or wednesday off. He has also sorted out the part timers but im not sure how he did that. If it actually happens it will be the first Good thing that has come out of are revision.

That's how it's done in our office.
Part-timers are on a three day week between thurs-mon with a rotated day off and one in four saturdays.
Full-timers day off rotates thurs-mon with one in four saturdays.
No part-timers in tuesday and wednesday and obviously no full-timers off tuesday and wednesday.
No reduction in headcount due to 1 in 4.
No increase in part-time ratio.
No ridiculous delivery spans.
