Tariff Increase – Quadrant Catering – W/C 3rd December 2012
Branches will be aware that LTB 1085/11 reported that in future Quadrant would be reviewing their Tariff in October of each year, instead of the April and October. This year however they have delayed the increase until the beginning of December. We have now received correspondence from Quadrant setting out the increases that are taking place from Monday 3rd December 2012.

The business has informed us that they have tried to minimise the tariff increases, however the increasing cost of bread and potatoes mean that they have had no option but to increase the prices attached. They have pointed out that prices on breakfast items and also on hot beverages have been held and that they are continuing their toast promotion, which has now been ongoing for over two years.

The business has however confirmed that the meal deal prices will remain unchanged.

Reproduced below for the information of Branches are the increases that are due to be implemented w/c 3rd December 2012.

Probably only in the much cosseted MCs these days - in fact in the time I've been at RM we have never had a canteen.

I know the coffee went up, don't know why people are still using those crappy vending machines when they can make their own coffee for far less and it'll taste better

I think the Courier should have pictures of MC workers enjoying their "sautee" potatoes during their hour long break.
It would give the rest of us something to aspire to in life.

Who could resist the sautee potatoes at just 90p?
Productivity would shoot through the roof.
If they put potato dauphinoise on the menu as well I'm sure we could reach the upper decile.

They do like their Carbohydates.
Too many carbs can mess up your blood sugar levels leaving you prone to energy level troughs and mood swings.
No wonder they need those breaks.
Perhaps schedule some WCM anger management classes and maybe dabble in a little fruit now and again.

It's a place where mail centre staff spend an hour or so a day chewing the fat, mostly on the bacon, with black pudding, large mugs of tea and coffee all at discounted prices - though they'll tell you the grubs awful and you wouldn't want to eat it. Rumour has it that Bill and Dave manage to make it to the local mail centre at lunchtime for a quick freebie and a chin wag...........I mean you don't get to that size eating fruit and salad. There may be some truth in the theory that the CWUs policy on deliveries is from information gleaned from mail centre canteens
