Manager had a go at me on shop floor

Last week a line manager had a go at me simply cause I was getting pen from the office, he said I should be sorting.even though most people were at their frames finished sorting. He moaned at me as I was walking out the office and had right go at me.

Rather than have a go at you he should have immediately launched a WCM style investigation into your behaviour:

Why were you in the office?
Why did you need a pen?
Why didn't you bring your own pen?
Why had you forgotten it?
Why were you in a rush?
Why did you oversleep?
Why can't you remember her name?

The problem wasn't the fact you needed a pen from the office. It wa more to do with your rather louche lifestyle.
That is what needs to be addressed.

I think you should ask him to conduct any problems he has with you in a professional manner and ask you into the office preferably with your rep.If he keeps at it phone the bullying hotline and stick a grievance in.....failing that slash his car tyres and have a s**t in the coffee machine.
