Possibly moving up to Scotland, just for a change... How's the job situation in Edinburgh? Probably try for a transfer... Any demand up there?

Where are you. From what I believe u r better to phone the office or at least get the union reps number to try to deal with it, I'm up in edinburgh, small office there seem to plenty of vacancies, but whether u get full time I don't know, worth a try phoning them all, there r a few

Talk to someone at your Branch - Area Rep or Divisional.
Someone might know someone from meetings.
Ask your DSM for help. His office will probably be able to contact his counterpart in Edinburgh and advise you of any vacancies.
Contact the Met Office for weather updates.
