Welcome to the forum.
As long as your not hiding a criminal record or currently due to appear in court etc you will be fine. They really need new staff at this time of year, getting close to xmas.
Back when I started they had you on a full years probation whilst they continued to perform security checks upon you and your parents.
It was only after the 12 months that you officially were given the job.

I started a couple of months ago and all the communication I had was by email, no phone calls at all. I was offered a choice of two dates for the induction (at 6 and 12 days notice) and started at the delivery office the next day. I finally got my uniform after 7 weeks and am still waiting for the shoes/trainers!! It was down to forever reminding the managers that I was still waiting. I have worn through two cheapie pairs of trainers in the meantime. My induction day was a Tuesday and I was paid on the Friday of that week, but had to wait a further two weeks to get the pay for the induction day.
