25 hr contract, whole office is lapsing as part of daiy duties, ive been told 25hr contract should be paid extra is this the case?

No you don't get paid any extra. You take the lapsing if the mail is light to make you fill your time up. So don't take it if you will not have time to do it within your hours. If you do take it and you know you're going to go over make sure you agree that you will be OK to get overtime before you leave the office, otherwise - leave it in!

OK, if the lapsing takes you over your time then you claim OT, otherwise you just do it within your time.

I was told if you're out late after you're time in the office you still have to take lapsing , if not the case should our rep not be telling us different.?

We stopped lapsing 2 years ago after everyone cut off in protest.
It done the trick

We now lapse 6 days a week,they told us that lapsing would stop mid November for Christmas,today they put the word out that has been changed to December 10th.

I do! so do a few others, but the rest come in early get stressed and do it, and we all know that as long as they keep doing that lapsing will stay till Christmas.

by coming in early they are giving extra time for lapsing, surely they can see that :roll:

lapsing was permanently put onto our duties during the current revision. I complained as i was already over my time due to growth but they "stuck" the lapsing on anyway. redone my frame also. I havent done it since it was introduced but they keep putting me under pressure to take but i keep refusing. "No Scope Here" lol......
