question regarding being sent home sick.

Hi without going into to much detail I was sent home from work, It was quite evident at the time I would be unable to complete my duty so i was sent home, I never asked.
In this instance should I have had the remainder of the day removed from my pay? It was my understanding if you told them you were sick it was but if they sent you home it wasn't?

It doesn't make any difference whether you decide to go home sick or they tell you to go home...you should still be paid.

He's been with us for years.
No sick pay for a newbie's first year other than SSP.
I think it was Keggie that let that one slide in under the radar.

Thanks for the answers, I wasn't aware if you asked to be sent home due to I'll health they were still supposed to pay you pretty sure I,ve been stung in the past and lost a half days pay. I'll keep that in mind if the situation comes up again.
