Leaving The Company

I know this might not get alot of responses, but was wondering what people have gone onto once leaving Royal Mail?. Has anyone left and come back to the company or did you find alot better employment elsewhere? this is strictly for postmen and women.

I've been with Royal Mail for about 14 years. People who leave usually fall into two catagories. People With A Sound Plan, who either exit to a well-planned retirement or another profession (I've known one to become a doctor, a few more to become lawyers, lots of others going from training/education into comfortable jobs). There are also People Who Take The Money And Run. That £15,000 they get from EVR is going to last forever! and they'll never have to work again! Sadly, you sometimes run into them a year or two later as Christmas casuals.

I left to do hgv driving.Now gone on to do enginnering.Havent looked back once.Only thing Ive missed is the regular,lets just say for arguement,6-2pm.Other than that Ive not missed it one iota.
