Working days off at Xmas

What is the incentive for full timers for working the days of in the 2 weeks prior to Christmas ? Do they get £100 bonus regardless if they work the days off or not ?

No one can make you work your days off and yes we do get the £100 whether we work them or not.

You get paid overtime.

Overtime at Christmas is voluntary, and more importantly a personal choice,and no-one should be criticised for wishing to earn a little bit extra.
My floater normally applies for Nightshift over the Christmas period. If he is drawn out of the hat, the guys duties contained within his floating duty are asked to come in on their days off over the subsequent period. If we agree he is allowed on Nightshift, normally the management want four out of the five of us to agree, before sanctioning the move.
