said it would take same time no difference due to age 'older person should be up to same standard as 20yr old

Surely by definition of the word discrimination having the same standards for everyone is not discriminatory? ie discrimination is treating one group differently from another, but what is being suggested is to treat everyone the same. I am not saying I agree with this btw.
And that is why revisions fail, they expect everyone to be the same but just ask the manager to do it at the same speed as you're expected and they'll just say the computer says so.
With managers like this is it any wonder that RM is going down the toilet.

dont dis them ,actually tried to defend them in our office due to mgmt bullying persons who claim ot and dont run round
we are not robots we do get older ,get slower , less mobile
and yes it is discrimination you are not allowed to get old with dignity ,mgmt use younger staff as a rod againt their elders its a fcukin disgrace and would hit courts in other european countries

It's f**k all to do with age,i know 60yr olds that can run rings round me,and i can run rings round a 20yr old.
Some peeps at my place i'm sure are sleep walking,they are different ages,some are like Usain,different ages again.

There is only acceptable which should be comfortable for a 60 year old and to be honest in this climate with job&finish gone anybody working above acceptable needs their head looked at.
Hans Solo are you saying that due to you being 50 that you should have a easier duty than a 20 year old. reality check Hans stop discrimiating against younger member of staff as you say the line manager is being discrimative then so are you, {amended} think through what you have just said then you may understand, and why you blaming your manager .{/amended}

im 57 and if the lino told me i had to perform at the same level as the 20 yos in my office i would be happy to slow down that far BUT could i NO flippin way
not me someone else the point i was trying to make was mgmt expect everyone to perform to exact standards all the time
regardless of capabilities of persons .
I was about 57 when I stopped delivering and I never gave a thought to how fast or slow I was in comparison to anyone and frankly I didn't give a sh1t - now I'm employed for my wit and wisdom
