Dom/planner have created 12 sets of town shared van jobs so 24 rounds in total

They have told us 9 of these 12 sets, one of the pair will be PT and they will specify which duty this is

This will bypass seniority as pt staff who will be junior by up to 15 years will have a dedicated duty and some ft souls will have to be spare or day off cover

This isn't fair

Planner said tell me another way to do it then !

Also the ft element of this pt/ft pairing will have to prep the pt ers round,

What can we do about this?

It won't get past our revision vote but the guys want to ballot over a walkout

How many FT/PT duties are there now, what do they do and have you to lose hours to align with the plan. He has a point, that is the plan they have come up with and they have given you the opportunity to input to amend it - in fact your Rep should have been fully involved with the planning, so what's his take on the subject.

who is doing the ips if the full time staff are to prep it seems the part time staff should do day off cover work full days over less days

They have been doing this for over a year at my office on P/L.
They offer 1and a half hours overtime each morning to P/T staff to come in the same time as the fulltime staff.
meaning that RM are getting p/t staff to do fulltime hours but saving RM money on holidays ,delivery suppliments and bonuses etc.

If the Area Rep isn't with you, then it is highly unlikely you will get a different response from the Div Rep.

It seems as though this is just an excuse to walk out.
Not that I don't think you may have good reason, but are there other problems?

If your members don't want to do the resign like that, then put in a disagreement and don't take part in the resign.
