in the old days pre park and loop if we had a problem concerning round timings our rep was able to print off a copy of a breakdown of the round, i went to see him to request a copy of the breakdown of loop timings as we have one in particlar loop that is well out but he said he doesnt have one and doesnt know where if any exist , if this is the case how can they do anybody on performance,where would these timings be ,there must be some to simply say 40 or 25 minutes doesnt help any advice.

What is the problem regarding this loop?

Are you cutting off as a result of it?

I have 2 more looks than my driver

I have 9 loops (although they are not loops at all) and the driver has 7 due to the driver having too many packets and parcels to deliver.
They are more interested in clearing the parcels.
Dont worry just cut off at your finish time

loops are done in unison, have can you have more loops than your partner?

loops to big can take 50/60 mins to complete ,i just wanted to see what timing was put against it, and compare to the corresponding loops time ,which apparently we dont have ?

for round let alone loop must exist somewhere

I have been trying to get someone to tell me how much time i am allowed to throw my door to doors in for ages and all i get back is "Its built into workload".Had a new planner in today and he said 15 minutes!.Told him one of my loops has 144 drops so with 6 items this week thats nearly 900 items in 15 minutes! His reply"thats 15 minutes for both duties so you only get 7 and a half minutes for yours,its going to be tight".If we have timings like this no wonder we struggle!

talk to the planners twobags as they have the times for each and every loop
you will be able to check against them there but do not be surprised if they do not listen

The planners certainly have the timings at hand. When our revision came in last year each walk was issued with a laminated card detailing each loop, who the loop was done by, the recommended parking space, and the length of time the loop should take.

Cant do them in unison as houses only on one side of the road, plus too many parcels for the P/L driver for the time allowed , ebay city

D2D into workload Resourcing guide

The following is a guide based on the agreed D2D guidelines sent out to representatives.

As stated in the Guidelines the values/throughputs are interim and are based on 500 delivery points which equates to 83 DP’S per day (1/6th).

Times required for different sized deliveries will need to be adjusted according to number of delivery points.

The values/throughputs are based on using a RM2000 frame. Where old type frames are still being used then local discussions need to take place to establish the extra indoor time needed using the figures below as a guide.

The total time required will have an adverse impact on opportunities to absorb mail.

1 contract 4 mins per day
2 contracts 8 mins per day
3 contracts 10 mins per day
4 contracts 11 mins per day
5 contracts 12 mins per day
6 contracts 14 mins per day

problem starts when you have double slots .
you cant just double the time because trying to get 12 D2D's in one double is a lot slower and awkward than 6.
2 days a week I have double slots on the frame and its a nightmare on weeks we get more than 4 D2D's or charity bags or Red Cross
