How long before they contact you with the appeal pack?

Is there a length of time for which the appeal should be dealt with?

Shouldn't take long but remember they will drag the process out anyway in the hope you don't get the et1 claim in on time

Yeh! The will try and drag it out so the time limit for the ET has run out. Get it in ASAP.

Do not trust or rely on RM to make it easy or "be helpful"

I read somewhere it will be fully investigated and dealt with within 4 weeks. I signed the appeal form and gave it back to the manager who did the dismissal.

the appeal process is normally a white wash.

Dismissals have been overturned on appeal before, I'm pretty sure I've read it on here at some point.

I have a list of things ready for the appeal manager including failure to interview key witnesses, failure to follow procedure and as they say its my 2nd offence for the same thing, no evidence to support this whatsoever, just false accusations and a made up warning.

the union say if you have a 50/50 chance or better.

they said mine wasnt a 50/50 chance so didnt support me....although the local union helped me greatly (and some on here)

i did mine nyself and won 3-0 3-0

also going back regarding my holiday entitlement they have refused me for the time i was wrongfully sacked....thats in around 2 months time.

if they try to put you off remember the costs that were mentioned by the government to go to a tribunal will not kick in yet.....sometime next year....i checked on this

problem with that warning is you should have gone to tribunal over it imo...find out from acas regarding that one though.

what was it ?....did they give you a suspended??

if they didnt interview witnesses then thats a strong point.....because you can argue that their mind was made up without the full evidence....get those witnesses a day off with a court order if it looks like getting that far.
make sure they are willing to be a witness for you though

A suspended what?

They believed the manager over me despite there being no paperwork to suggest I had been warned or any evidence of a previous conversation, just a fudged account from another manager, coincidentally my managers friend. I was stitched up like a kipper.

I am, of course, assuming the appeal manager will do a full investigation and not take orders from the old boys network of managers round these parts.
