off sick with stress and pressure from work

Iv been off work for 2 months now with plantar fasciitis and stress. I feel so pressured by work, they refered me to atos 3 weeks ago, who give royal mail a report and said for them to refer me again when i get my hospital appointment for my foot, but my new manager has just phoned me and is refering me to atos again already and that i have to phone her everyday, but i feel that is just adding to my stress. I told her i felt my stress is related to work as 18 months ago my husband had an accident where an elderly lady stepped infront of his car and she died, my husband had to go to court and it was a terrible time for us. The day after the court case i went into work and a collegue said "so did he go down then" to which i replied "no because it was'nt his fault and her family were there and said they know it was'nt his fault and to get on with his life" my collegue replied "i'd have shot him in the head", this collegue was sacked but i have since heard he has unfinished business with me and is going to pay someone to do something to me. My new managers reply was " this is not stress related to work as he doesn't work there anymore. I told her this was'nt the only thing as at xmas this year i had an accident at work and went sick and another collegue wrote an awful thing about me on social network facebook, he did'nt name me but i took it personally, he said i was a hinderance and a waste of humanity and hopes i live a void and lonely life, he calls me a f***ing chav c**t dont come back to work everyone hates me and he wants me dead. This has had a real affect on me especially with me having to go off sick again but my new manager said this is also not work related as it happened outside work. Can anyone give me any advice with this, thanks

Reading this Jen i have every sympathy for you, it sounds very serious and in your favour, the managers is acting in a very poor manner and the Facebook stuff and comments at work the people involved should be sacked, are you a union member? if so contact your area rep ASAP, if not join up online and get this sorted, it should in no way be tolerated in a modern work place, goodluck Jen and let us know how you get on.

I did'nt want the facebook guy sacked, he did apologise as my old manager told him if he didnt it would end up bad for him. I felt like i had to except his apology as i could never have faced going back to work if i had 2 guys sacked. My manager also said if i took things further no one in the office would want to know me. This happened in January, i struggled going back to work but tried my best but i have never got over it

So what exactly do you foresee for the future in terms of continuing employment with RM?

I think it a work related as it was happening before your fellow collegue got sacked. Once your fit and well you should just get back to work even on light duties. You shouldn't let morons stop you from working and if anything happens to you its RM problem. Sadly we live in a world with lots of not very nice people.

i heard it from another collegue but the guy who told me said "u didnt hear it from me"

i dont want to lose my job so i hope i can get past it all

If the girl wants to keep her job then this matter has got to be escalated one way or another. I don't know if the police is exactly the way to go and I may want to seek advice from CAB and see what they advise, a free consultation with a solicitor. In any event the situation must be reconciled before she can return to work. Obviously the depression is a problem as well as the pf.

problem is for him is you did hear it from him.

he would be the first point of enquiry for the police.
