Proposals from the union? I'd say Bollocks to Lamebrain & Dozier's demand. The only thing our union should be presenting to those two morons,
are 2 demands.

1. A demand for a fair and honest pay increase for our members, one in line with inflation, not below it.

2. A demand for an improvement in our members terms & conditions of work, ie: A 35hr week, just to begin with.

Those two pillocks, :lfo :cfo , get given shitloads of money for practically feck all. It's for those two utterly contemptable arseholes to provide
proposals which are. 1. acceptable to the union's negotiators. 2. And more importantly, acceptable to their hard working, long suffering, workforce.

No, my subs are £2.60 instead of £2.80. Not a great sum, but the idea of supporting that shower repulses me. I should add, most of our office don't pay it either.

Right now, I'd swap the CWU for the IWW, mate. What a lot of good old fashioned common sense that leaflet of theirs made. I absolutely dislike
this idea that our union, the CWU, can work alongside scum like Leighton & Crozier, and still do it's upmost to defend postal workers pay and conditions.
Once this dispute has been won, a complete overhaul of the union's hierarchy, it's pythonesque belief in partnership with management , should be
undertaken. I'm still livid at Billy Hayes bootlicking performance at the New Labour / New CONservatives conference yesterday. What a prawn that man
is.

Are you sure that the tiny amount (less than 5p i belive) goes to the labour party out of our 10 p a week political levy amount to 80 grand a week? If you look at the membership level of the CWU the amount that is raised from the political levy is around 25 grand a week. AS only a fraction goes to the labour party i fail to see how we are giving the party 80,000 a week!

What you should worry about is that those who belive in the need and want a political fund for the union but dont want any money going to labour dont have that option.


As i said before on other posts the levy needs to be split into two with members then having a choice between both levy's or just the general political levy.


If there is no political fund then the CWU will not be able to engage in political activties of any sort unless there is absolutley no cost! That is the brutal reality of the law!
