Just got IHR over the moon been off with a prolapsed disc for 8 months been paid out 18k, much better than i thought
keep up the good work everyone i have enjoyed most of my time over 15 years until 2nd del went and p and l came in, we do a hard job now stick to your guns and work your time. Cheers

I had a herniated disc which has never really healed and so I sympathise with your back. £18k however after 15 years doesn't sound a great deal especially compared to some VR payouts.

Don't forget if you haven't found a job yet, you should go immediately to the job Centre and register for looking for work. You are instantly entitled to Contributions based Job Seekers Allowance which is

iirc about £140 afortnight.This entitlement will last for 6 months and is not affected by your payout from rm.It is based on your N.I. contributions from your weekly wages at RM.
