Change of start times

Is there a maximum change to peoples start times without giving them notice?

For example original start time 23.00 new start time after revision 21.00. I'm sure I read somewhere that a start time change over a certain amount of time had to have 28 days notice.

We have just had a revision pushed through on the quick due to the building work that is going on and the start and finish time were given to the night shift last night for implementation on the 22nd Oct.

Its one month the same time given to changing scheduled attendance

I thought it was just 7 days, it only occurs is its a signficantly change (28 days) in start times ie dayshift to nightshift. Not sure if 11pm to 9pm is a significant change in times. Some people maybe happier.

A run of the mill revision would give out start times way before the revision is ready to be implemented and if done properly the staff would be aware fully in advance.

A pushed through on the quick revision ( :roll: ) depending on how quick the office rolled over,you could argue you want the 28 days notice thing.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If you voted to accept the revision i would assume you also voted to accept the change in start times and the estimated timescale for implementation.
In the case of agreed change,notice should be reasonable...that's all.
If individual members needed more time to make childcare arrangements i would be surprised if that wasn't given....not shocked though...nothing shocks me in this place anymore.

We didn't vote on anything, we never get a vote on anything. Reps sort out all revisions and we have to lump it.

Rumor has it that a bloke who was affected was told by a rep that if he didn't like his new times he should go as a leave reserve and let someone else have it :arrrghhh
