Taking breaks at set time

Does anyone have a set time when they are all told to take their breaks? Reckon we have alot who dont take breaks so rep saying they may try and have set times for breaks so at least they know everyone is taking a break before they go out. What do people think about it either pros or cons?

they tried it on at ours but we didnt want it an hour after we started so they just let us do our own thing now

Legally there has to be something on paper, at least for staff working more than 6 hours/day.
If people choose not to take their break, more fool them.
But shared vans means both partners have to agree.
And in smaller yards, the loading has to be on a rota, so the breaks have to be enforced.

The end of paid meal relief isn't far away.
It will of course be the union's fault.

I would support the argument that everyone MUST take a break but would want to consult members on times etc???. Am actually surprised a dom wants to enforce this kind of thing and not turn a blind eye to people not taking breaks therefore getting more work out of them.

What happened to choice? I like to take my break half way through my walk thank you very much. Not be forced to take it before hand, when I really don't need a break.

If on P&L once the last box of sequenced mail has been thrown in.

If on old style walking deliveries, then once you have bagged up and passed them to your driver.
