Hello chaps
Quick query relating to having left the company earlier this month.
I was with Royal Mail from 20/5/12 to 7/9/12.
My question relates to having holiday paid off when you leave any company.
I didn't take any holiday in my short stint.
I was expecting to have around £500 in my account the week after I left in my final paycheck, I used the government calculator http://online.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg ... pe=BLTTOOL
I was on a 35-hour contract.
I didn't receive anything at first, prompting a call to HR who informed me it's up to the delivery office managers to decide how much I am owed.
I then called called the deputising DoM, he said he'd check and it'd probably be a week's pay.
A week's pay is around £320, pre tax.
Does anyone know if I've been short changed here? I don't want to make a nuisance of myself, I'd like to ask you lot before I kick up a fuss.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Pay in lieu of annual leave
I'm assuming it is only the holiday pay you're waiting on, if so:
You worked for RM for almost 4 months, so you should get approx 1/3 of the years entitlement. The entitlement for the whole year is 4 weeks and 2 and a half days, if I recall correctly. So you should get 1/3rd of that (22.5 days /3 = 7.5 days) or 1 week and 2 and a half days, or a week and a half.
I might be wrong, but as far as I know, that is what you should get, provided you were working a 5 day week.
