This is a seperate procedure to a back to work interview? Also when you are issued a stage are you given a copy of this in writing to keep for yourself?

The back to work interview is an informal chat which should take place on your first day back at work.
It goes something like this: "You all right?" Yep.

If you have triggered a stage warning under the attendance procedure you will formally be invited to an interview and you have the right to be accompanied by a trade union rep or friend from the workplace.
This is a longer interview after which the manager will decide if the stage warning will be issued.
If he decides to issue a warning then it should be in writing with his reasons for doing so (and why he isn't in the least bit interested in any extenuating circumstances.)

ok just checking he hasnt sneakily issued a stage during a back to work interview. im prob just worrying.
