Walked into any good spiders webs today !

For the past couple of weeks all i seem to be doing is walking up pathways straight into spiders webs !!!!

In a certain light they are impossible to see and the trouble is you normally get the bloody spider as well

Had one across the face last sat with the spider ending up on my ear The web took ages to wipe of my specs, it was like a kind of glue

4 or 5 webs wi spiders today its like the facesuckers from alien films
consantly wiping your face and hair and keep thinking boris (the spider ) is still on me
some big ones as well

Its not so much the walking into the spiders web, its the silly dance after, when your trying to get it off, or avoid them in the first place.

Strangely enough, the spider induced mummification extravanganza has yet to commence down this way, and it's usually September when the little bleeders try to snare you. Maybe we've missed it.

Do what i do,break the web with the mail and post the spider through the letterbox1 (only applies to non christmas tippers)

One estate on my round is like spider city! Not good for an arachnophobic! Terrified of the buggars!

I call it stripey spider september and I hate it! I walk up drives with letters flapping infront of me trying to break them before they get me. The spiders look evil.

This is one part of the job I really don't miss. I used to walk with the mail held up at eye level to break the webs before I got a face full. If there was a spider in the way, I had to seriously consider endorsing their mail! <shudders>

I have one house on my round that has a long path to the front door flanked by three separate conifer "archways" ... I feel like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark except I don't recall him walking through the tunnel flapping a handful of mail in front of his face like a demented lunatic
