Union forcing revote

Heard today that one of our neighbouring offices had voted for 1 in 4 saturdays prior to their revision taking place. Apparently the union is now forcing a revote as some people didnt know what they were doing? Shambles.

Seems like the planners are doing their best to keep 1 in 6.

Our office voted last week NOT to vote in a rushed revision before xmas , had 2 visits from the DSM in the last week trying to change our minds. They wanted tohave another vote last friday but the rep said "the CWU run ballots NOT royal mail". ..........surprise surprise , this week most of the union boys are away on a course so his intention is to have a sealed vote at tomorrows WTLL..........whats the odds they get the result they want?

He can't have a vote, as you said it's CWU not RM that has the vote.
He can have it but it won't mean a thing.

Ballot wouldn't be valid, and status quo remains. Any movement taken from those 'results' would be executive action.

UPDATE ; We had a sealed vote (with CWU involvement) and it was still a resounding NO.The DOM now says that he will amend some of the walks himself as they need equalising I spoke to the rep and his advice was that the individuals whose walks it concerned should just refuse to comply. The only thing wrong with this is that the DOM is picking individuals who want there walks shortened or people who are afraid to stand up to him (whether because of temporary contracts or genuine fear) Could i ask the CWU for a ballot? I reckon this is the first time for a while the office has a majority of members who are prepared to make a stand.

How does 1 in 4 work then because we work six days a week? Does that mean some of the office never have a Saturday off so the majority can?
