Rude Customers
I followed the house occupants up the garden path yesterday, only about a dozen paces behind them and rather than take the mail they shut the door in my face. If I had a lit firework I'd have posted that :(

Re: Rude Customers
Why let it bother you? Some people are ignorant, doesn't mean that you have to be back............once you let go of those things then this job gets so much easier.

Re: Rude Customers
when that happens I usually shout after them in a humorous way, "its ok you don't have to run away its not that bad" or words to that effect. usually has the desired affect. bit of humour goes a long way. of course it does always work so if they have gone indoors I knock so they have to actually come to the door.

Re: Rude Customers
I've noticed a few people do this, never the older generations who are very friendly and always ready with a smile and have a chat, the younger they get the more ignorant they get. I blame computers and iPhones and such, communication is becoming a lost art.

"I blame computers" - I do too, and I've even noticed that some people spend quite some considerable time on this forum.TheCobra wrote:I've noticed a few people do this, never the older generations who are very friendly and always ready with a smile and have a chat, the younger they get the more ignorant they get.
