Late turns....

Hi quick question. Us lot on 25 hour contracts have been told that we have to do late turns and collections. We have the choice whether to do it as overtime or as a duty. Some of us are being put on more late turns then others which is unfair. Been told its coz they cant cover them. We've had 3 newbies start and all have been put through their driving but aren't being put on lates at all. They are on identical contracts. Can I bring this up and say this is unfair? And that they aren't being given out fairly?

If you consider that there are unfair practises going on, then you should raise these with your local rep. who should take these up with management. If he fails to do this or you are unhappy with the outcome, then you have the option to raise a grievance. You can request a grievance application form from your manager.

if your normal start time is in the morning then you have to have 28 days notice of change of timings. we need cover on collections just now and some agree to do it, others cannot and when they tried to put one guy on collections I explained to dom he needed 28 days notice.

do you have this in writing? We normally get our rota up the week before and if a collection driver is on A/L they just put any part timer on w/o asking them. Is this allowed even though its a complete change of hours and f***s up your day?
