Double standards by DOM's

Why do DOM's try to bully the people who do the job properly and by the book into not cutting off, but then turn a blind eye to other posties not taking meal relief, who then take your cut off out an hour before the official finishing time ?

I'm having murders with my DOM at the moment I tell him everyday I won't finish on time and I'm not going over to hear the reply of "Why" then after arguing he says to me "only take out what you can do then" come on guys its impossible to get bang on what you can do and I tell him "come what may I will be back ten minutes before my duty ends" then I get a load of s**t next morning "Why could you not finish is there a issue with that walk" its time the union got of their arse's and earn the money we pay them and stop this harassment.

Agree with you there mate. But when it is your day off, the floater comes in an hour early , runs around and does it all ! DOM says why can't you ??????

The full irony might be that the manager miht actually pays the floater that one hour (for coming in early) just to prove that it can be done or because it is easier to pay overtime than to cut off.

In my office, people are paid different wages for doing the same job; the hours it takes sometimes does not even count. The only certainty in my office right now is the full time hours of work and full time basic pay. The PTers (esp) are shafted left right and centre as we have just started P&L - walks have been merged, some lost and other created but there has not been a resign/repick despite promises it should have happened a month ago. The biggest contention being that some walks have to be redesigned as they are unfairly small or too big relatively - who wants (not some Fts anyway) to pick rounds that might or might not be re-designed after the 'Resign' - managers and planners cannot be trusted.

PTers dont have an official start time (manager's discretion) but an end time as the same as the Fters - its P&L after all. There is hardly any duty rotas posted up and posties are not even signing in (H&S) as there is no duty rota. It is a shambles!

*Lastly, there are some Fters that come in early to open up the depot/offices, so they have a bit of an advantage in terms of extra cash and being able to prep and ready to go before many others???

They leave people alone that do all the short cuts and carving up of duties why? easy because they know that if everyone did the job as it should be done they know full well that these walks are not doable, so they leave all the staff who do job and knock and their little pets who are allowed to ghost o/t because then they get left alone from their managers because they are dishonest about what can be done in the hours.

Other way around Somerset, I'm the floater the walk holders come in early and I'm having none of it so they take a running jump, I'll go to any court in the country as long as they come out with me and time me where I will use the trolleys take my break and do the job right, they bottle it in the end just like the troops at my office Gobshites afraid of their own shadow.
