Office being transferred
HI, We are a SPDO of 7 walks who are being transferred to our sister office 5 miles away at the end of November.I was just wondering if we can expect anything along the lines of a financial incentive or is that wishful thinking.

It's september, you're moving in a month and a half, don't take this the wrong way but what has your rep (if you have one) and area rep (if you know who he is) said/negotiated?chelseachris wrote:HI, We are a SPDO of 7 walks who are being transferred to our sister office 5 miles away at the end of November.I was just wondering if we can expect anything along the lines of a financial incentive or is that wishful thinking.
PS:You should depending on where you guys live from the old office to the new office be entitled to travelling allowance for 3 years.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

But if any didn't want to move would there be any possibility of Voluntary Redundancy ?POSTMAN wrote:It's september, you're moving in a month and a half, don't take this the wrong way but what has your rep (if you have one) and area rep (if you know who he is) said/negotiated?chelseachris wrote:HI, We are a SPDO of 7 walks who are being transferred to our sister office 5 miles away at the end of November.I was just wondering if we can expect anything along the lines of a financial incentive or is that wishful thinking.

This was one of the questions that one of the lads wanted to know about redundancy.Being a small office the union are not so quick to come and see us even though we are all in the union.Lounge Lizard wrote:But if any didn't want to move would there be any possibility of Voluntary Redundancy ?POSTMAN wrote:It's september, you're moving in a month and a half, don't take this the wrong way but what has your rep (if you have one) and area rep (if you know who he is) said/negotiated?chelseachris wrote:HI, We are a SPDO of 7 walks who are being transferred to our sister office 5 miles away at the end of November.I was just wondering if we can expect anything along the lines of a financial incentive or is that wishful thinking.
