Is it just me or does it seem that these days letterboxes are designed to make it as difficult as possible to put mail through it? I have hundreds of boxes on my delivery which unless you have a bulky flat to help do nothing but crumple the mail. Of course P&L doesn't help as when you are carrying a bundle of mail in one hand you only have the one hand spare to try and force the mail through with. And of course the worst boxes always seem to be the backbreakers at the bottom of the door!

Not just the letterboxes, there's always the odd duffer that insists on one of those draught excluders being fitted to the inside of the door with such incompetence that it totally impedes the transit of mail...f*ckwits.

It's great when it is pissing down with rain, especially the toilet paper D2Ds that get even more trashed going through the brush wash

And those ancient houses with a vertical 3"x2" slot. They can't even take a LoveFilm DVD. What are these people thinking of? Do they never wonder why the have to go to the delivery office to pick up tiny packets? Or why their magazines are ruined?

Well you have in effect highlighted your own problem. Why are you carrying a bundle of mail not intended for a delivery point up their path to their door and back down their path again? Leave that mail in the LWT with the flap over and fastened and take only the mail intended for the delivery point you're walking to; problem solved!
