Leaving D2D's and Packets

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are D2D's and packets our ONLY growing market and therefore quite important to us (as a company), and therefore we shold be looking after these people who could quite easily use couriers.

Got told by a Lino today that our P/L duty was do-able despit us only completing it on average one day a week. :mad

I said it wasn't- he said "leave the D2D's and Packets and just do the mail, now it's do-able" :shock: :shock:

I offered to take out the rest of the walks on the aisle, because if we only have to cherrypick the bits of the job that we want to do, then i could complete all of the walks within my time by taking out all the flats and mail and just deliver the local bingo club advertising.

We left the D2D's and packets and did as we were told like good little children..........and brought two bags back !!! :cuppa

Unbelievable. Packets never seem to be the priority, which astounds me. Surely their packets are what people want most?

Ours packets are the first thing we have to leave when finishing on our time. Some frames have 5 bags of packets by them and rows of them on top of the frames as well. Amazing how p&l was meant to incorporate the packets but now we dont even take them. Someone has made a huge f**k up with geo-route figures at our place.

Business customer complained to me today cause his 1st class packet with post office stamp of 05/09/12 only got delivered to him today 13/09/12. So much for next day delivery.

It's the policy at the moment. Whether it's official ... :crazy:. It's fun just taking the mail, though. You tend to be hauling less weight along and it's less of a stop-start job.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Are there no records to date where someone using "justsayit" have been identified (read put under the spotlight) at the depot by the management team?

D2d's are clearly being discriminated against here by the managers.

As int he tribunal they won not too long ago, they argued this.

so if they are saying to not deliver mailsort or door to doors then they are willfully delaying the mail.

likely to be because of the USO and reporting of failures.

RM will probably argue that they have shown they can deliver to every address so meet their obligation but it's a bit of a grey area in terms of what mail just like mailsort staying in on saturday isn't a USO failure.

Load of our place have emailed moya and other bosses as well as top union guys. Our dom tells us its a waste of time as they only pass it all down to them anyway, but looking at the huge influx of managers from all over the region that have been turning up then they do take notice imo.
