6 month probation period

6 month probation period
I was taken on on a 6 month contract. The probation period was said to be 6 months. I have now been given a new 3 month contract. I have never had any feedback regarding the probationary period (i.e no appraisal) should I have, or do I assume that as I have not been sacked that I am as average as everybody else?

Do you have a pulse and do you turn up to work when you should ? if yes to either or both of these then you have passed your probation, as for "appraisal" im still waiting for my induction and fire drill training etc 14 months onLazycarton wrote:I was taken on on a 6 month contract. Ha ha...I thought this might be the case. lol at 'appraisals'. It's funny I expected that as well when I joined ROyal Mail, as a big company I thought they'd have 3 month, 6 month, 12 month progress meetings, maybe even some form of 'career progression'. hahaha, how wrong was I!Lazycarton wrote:I was taken on on a 6 month contract. Not that I'm bothered by it, it would be nice every now and again to get to have your say a bit with a manager on your own, but in reality it's such an 'us vs them' culture that you'd be scared to say what you thought anyways!
