WTL today

Post by eastie »

To me all it is is Royal Mail covering their arses regarding H/S issues.
Red sticks for posting letters :left: the bloody dog will think its a game everyday waving a stick through the front door, I just coil up the mail and push through the stiff letterflap brushes and let the dog grab that and rip it up.
They have come up with these red sticks just in case someone gets bitten putting a letter through the door to cover themselves .
Plus the films they showed us never shows postmen pushing trolleys, always bag on the shoulder, thought they would be pushing people to use them as they are supposed to be mandatory

Sometimes I feed the letters through one at a time. Dogs like it.

I like to put the letters half way in and then hold tight to the other end. The dog does the rest :dance .

Grind dried chillies to a very, very fine dust.

Use disposable latex gloves.

When you are ready to post, place a reasonable amount between two letters and stand back and enjoy the outcome.

Bollocks are they, they've given us these silly loseable implements so and made us sign a piece of paper to say that we've had them so that in the case of someone losing a finger putting mail through a door they'll be able to wave the disclaimer at you and you won't get any form of compensation.

Strangely, a few months ago some guy was going round all the frames asking if everyone still had those peg things. I still have mine but I've never used it. I told him now that we're on P&L and there's sixteen bags in the van it's kind of hard to keep track of it. He suggested I keep it in my trouser pocket. I asked if he had ever climbed up tenements all morning with a ruler in his trousers. :cuppa
