Wait a few years, and we'll all be part time, starting just after we've dropped the little brats off at school and finishing just before we're ready to pick them up.

I'm sure there is a form but you can always write a letter to your DOM asking for FF hours, all you need is a paper trail for proof, I know of someone who doesn't work Saturdays now because of FF hours.............I would be annoyed but those are the rules and these days, I really don't care what other people do, my job is hard enough without getting worked up about other people.

Write to the DOM and state the reasons why you need FF and the problems you have working your current hours. When I've been in resource meetings FF applications have been discussed, so see your Rep before putting a letter in.

The first thing you do is go and see your rep or area rep an make sure you inform them of your intention to apply for family friendly working hours.

Why.

AFAIK there is no requirement to inform the rep at all. They will be advised as such in resource meetings but beyond that there is no official reason why a rep should be informed.

HOWEVER, they can be of great benefit in helping you apply and its aways worth seeking their advice, and I would always recommend doing so.
