Questions about different things going on at our office

Hello, sorry if some of the things are already covered on here but a few things at my office in essex going on what isn't right.

Overtime sheet not being left out when people come back late, and no managers there when you get back. Surely that is a health and safety issue? If somebody had a accident etc.
Anyways the overtime sheet is made available the next morning which I think the real reason is they hope people forget to book.

Another thing if people leave a odd letter or anything on their frame, when they get back they have a letter on the frame asking why it was left and to write in the box and sign it,then the next day they have a interview with manager.

One manager constantly swears at people and gets very angry, somebody just asked a simple question today and manager said can't u see I'm f***ing unloading the lorry.

well why are they leaving mail? you do a final frame check before you leave the frame.
every postie should be doing this for self protection!

swearing at staff. unacceptable
ask them to stop(although bear in mind that if you go down this path,you need to adhere to the same standards)

Leave a letter? A LETTER! Managers have been instructing staff for weeks in our DO to leave YORKS and BOXES of mail to get people out/back on time! Is this acceptable or can I notify IB? Apparently its a local Royal Mail Manager/Union agreement!

Grievances going around like sweeties. Roll on Xmas!

Then point out that when you come to work you expect dignity and respect, and if managers continue to use foul and abusive language in a threatening way you will be forced to take the matter further, and higher.

ask manager why he is not working to his time. also for odd letter left mistake this is NOT wilful delay so no action can be taken on that count. dom is just being a bully.

We don't get to look at the overtime sheet, for years in fact. We tell the lino and he jots it down.

1 letter? Loads are left for all walks in my office. Ever since P&L it has got worse.

Of course if he was unloading the lorry it may have been wiser, even from an HS point of view to wait until after - especially if it was just a simple question.

Hi one letter left in frame joke, at my office one day last week we had 11 rounds not going out. We are short staffed had a lad start last week lasted two days on del dumped bags not seen him after. Says a lot for the job. As for swearing at people he would be sorted round the back of the office, pointless taking it further nothing gets done. Happy days, ps most of our guys bring mail back every day.

nothing gets done because people give up. I had grievance against DOM. RM thought I would forget about it as weeks passed after was told it was being upheld thinking if I forgot and gave up all would be well. I then emailed higher up food chain worded thus " I was told when I took out grievance it would be a waste of time, seems it is as nothing is getting done" Sector manager dealing with it phoned me to apologise and findings in my hand next day SD.
