Ignoring the message content, that is what is known as a special instruction. A special instruction is ignored unless posted under the Special Delivery service.

The same goes for any 'Do not bend' instruction, (although you should not make it your life's work to bend them all).

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I would "digitally manipulate" it to ensure it will go through the door and thereby ensure delivery of said item. If however I hear a cracking sound then I know I've used too much "digital manipulation" on said item and then place it in a damaged goods bag and knock on the door to hand to them (with an innocent look on my face) or leave a docket and then let the front counter take the flack for it! :whistle
