Probation/DTD

Guys - some help please if you can.

Been at Royal Mail for nearly 6 months now as a part time OPG - probation period ends officially on 18th September.
No communication as yet from anyone. Anyone know what happens as regards being taken on 'for real' (or not as the case maybe)?

And DTDs. I'm fairly sure that as a part-timer the DTDs are supposed to be thrown in for me aren't they?
If that's the case, what do people suggest I do/say when they're not?

My definition of postman after nearly 6 months - a genuinely great job severely marred by managers who try to intimidate and squeeze you dry.

It depends on how many hours you are contracted to work each day.
What your delivery span is/ How much indoor time you have.
How many D2D contracts you have.

If having to prep your D2D is taking you over your contracted hours each day then either you claim overtime if you want it, or you follow the "overrunning" delivery process. (Cutting off)
If prepping your D2D doesn't take you over your contracted hours - then you do it.

It's the duty that has them thrown in, not the postman, so the hours of your contact is irrelevant.

Some duties have them thrown in by the person who preps it, some don't. You need to find out if the duty you are doing is meant have the door to doors thrown in by the prepper, the duty holder (if different) or whoever.

You could ask for a breakdown of your hours, so you know how long you are mean to be spending on each task.
